The wait is officially over as Manchester City has officially announced the signing of Erling Haaland.
The 21-year-old will join the Club on 1 July after penning a five-year deal which keeps him at the Etihad with the reigning Premier League champions agreeing to pay the £51 million ($63m) fee that will trigger a release clause in the striker’s contract at Borussia Dortmund.
A 21-cap Norwegian international, Haaland scored 86 goals in 89 games in two-and-a-half seasons with the Black and Yellows, winning the German Cup and the Bundesliga Player of the Season award in 2020/21.
The Borussia Dortmund forward has had an incredible series of seasons in the Bundesliga before deciding to move to the Premier league.
The club made the official announcement of Erling Haaland’s signing on Monday via all their social media platforms.
If you can recall, 22 years ago today, Manchester City signed Alfie Haaland the father of Erling Haaland, and have today 8035 days later announced the signing of Erling Haaland, his son.

Haaland is happy with the move and hopes to have a great time at the club as he has describe as one with so many world-class players and Guardiola as one of the greatest managers of all time.
“Man City, great move for me. I’m proud. There are so many world-class players in this squad and Guardiola is one of the greatest managers of all time, so I believe I am in the right place to fulfill my ambitions,” He said.
The strikers goal at the club is pretty simple as clearly stated by him which is to score goals, win trophies and improve.
“I want to score goals, win trophies and improve”.
