Dr. Adeleke Mamora, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, has declared that there must be an end to the enormous exodus of medical professionals, notably doctors, to other nations.

When a team from the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) led by its president, Dr. Uche Ojinmah, paid him a courtesy visit in his office today in Abuja, Dr. Adeleke made this statement.

The Minister promised that the government would take all necessary steps to stop the widespread migration of medical professionals, particularly doctors, from the nation.

In order to encourage health workers, especially doctors, to pursue their professions, Dr. Adeleke stated that the government will examine the working conditions and pay of health employees.

Because of the significance of physicians and other healthcare professionals to humanity, he pledged to protect their interests.

He urged the Association to uphold a high standard of morality and behavior in accordance with her oath of office.

The Minister thanked the Association for her visit and promised that the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation would always work with them on scientific issues.

The Nigerian Medical Association’s president, Dr. Uche Ojinmah, had earlier announced that the organization had come to congratulate the minister on his new position as the ministry’s minister of science, technology, and innovation.

Additionally, he asked the minister to speak up for the Association and address issues including working conditions, tools, and compensation at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
