THE presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, will today visit Enugu state before the official commencement of campaign tomorrow (Wednesday) for the 2023 general elections.

The visit to Enugu is expected to having the PDP flagbearer in a closed-door meeting with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state in a bid to build assurance of his (Governor Ifeanyi) support as the presidential campaign commences tomorrow.

Atiku Abubakar will also touchdown Abia, Oyo and Benue States to strengthen talks with Governors Okezie Ikpeazu, Seyi Makinde and Samuel Ortom respectively ahead of the campaign.

The People’s Democratic Party is also reaching out to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State in a bid to “tame” him down and seek for his supports in order to ensure Atiku’s success in the 2023 general elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had scheduled Wednesday, 28th September, 2022 as the date for the official commencement of campaign for the 2023 general elections in Nigeria.
