THE National Women’s Team of Nigeria, Super Falcons were beaten 0-2 by an oppressive Japan side in their friendly match that took place on Thursday morning at the Noevir Stadium, Kobe.

Mina Tanaka scored brace to give the Japan side a win over the Super Falcons in their third meeting of both teams.

Although the Super Falcons played without their star striker, Asisat Oshoala, their shots-stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie made massive saves to keep coach Rany Waldrum’s ship from sinking. But, the Japanese side proved stubborn until the final whistle.

Takana got Japan in the lead in the 64th minute tapping home from a freekick before doubling the advantage four minutes later from the spot.

Although, the Super Falcons played with Rasheedat Ajibade, Michelle Alozie, Uchenna Kanu, Ngozi Okobe and other stars in the team, they have now played five games in a row without a single win.
