In Rivers state, alleged political thugs attacked a team of supporters of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Three injured people are undergoing medical care in an unnamed hospital.

Udochukwu Nwakpala, who was reportedly shot, and Nnamdi Nwogu, Coordinator of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in Omuma Local Government Area, were among the victims.

On Sunday, they were reportedly affixing campaign posters for Atiku in the Eberi community when they were attacked.
