Apple has been reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg to be devoting most part of its 2023 to focus on a brand new device that will blow minds in the tech space. The brand-new device is Apple’s mixed-reality headset that has been a work in progress for several years now.

The Information reported before that the new device could resemble a pair of ski goggles. It will have multiple cameras so that it can monitor your movements in real-time and see what’s going on in the actual world.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, has often indicated over the past few years that augmented reality is a promising technology.

Nevertheless, it appears that Apple’s forthcoming device will provide a mixed-reality experience. Both augmented and virtual reality will be accessible to users. As it is easier to prevent software leaks than product leaks, the headset’s possible use cases and applications remain unknown.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is reportedly aiming to introduce the new device in June during the opening keynote of the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference; the device could be called Reality Pro. Several developers have already begun creating applications for Apple’s new platform. xrOS could be the name of the new operating system for the Apple headset.

As a large number of developers working on third-party applications for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Watch are expected to attend WWDC, this event appears to be the ideal venue for this type of product introduction. The availability of popular apps and games for this new Apple platform will be crucial for the long-term success of the Apple headset.

In 2023, Apple may release a 15-inch MacBook Air and a new Mac Pro

Mark Gurman spent time outlining Apple’s 2023 road map. Aside from the company’s mixed-reality headset, you shouldn’t anticipate many surprises.

For instance, the MacBook Pro, the Apple Watch, the AirPods, the iPad mini, the iPad Air, and the iPad base model will only receive improved components that should enhance their overall characteristics. Do not anticipate substantial design revisions or new functionality. There will be no updates to the Apple TV and iPad Pro.

A 15-inch MacBook Air, the return of the large HomePod, and a brand-new Mac Pro could be the most important additions to Apple’s product lines. Apple has not yet updated the Mac Pro with an ARM-based processor; it still uses an Intel CPU. Bloomberg reports that the upcoming Mac Pro would closely resemble the current model.

The M2 Ultra seen in the Mac Studio will be included. Due to the company’s unified memory approach, users will be unable to upgrade RAM. On paper, it will be challenging to persuade individuals to purchase a Mac Pro instead of a Mac Studio. The Mac Pro, however, has never been a particularly profitable product.

Clearly, the iPhone is Apple’s most valuable product. 9to5mac reports that iPhone 15 production is proceeding as expected. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max may all receive the Dynamic Island feature.

There is one absolute certainty. This year, Apple will comply with the EU’s mandate and replace the iPhone’s Lightning connector charging port with a USB-C port. In addition, many iPhone owners have been waiting for a simple update like this in order to upgrade their devices.
