Klaviyo lays off 140 staff across the company

Klaviyo, a US-based e-commerce marketing automation company has cut off 10 percent (140) of its staff, from all the teams, including its engineering and design teams.

This layoff was disclosed via a mail by the Director of Public Relations at Klaviyo, Lacey Berrien on Thursday, as confirmed by TechCrunch.

In the mail, the US-based e-commerce company said: “After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to reduce our overall workforce in an effort to reduce redundancy and recalibrate Klaviyo’s areas of investment for the future.”

Klaviyo also added that “focus is supporting the departing Klaviyos who made meaningful contributions to the company.”

This layoff at Klaviyo puts the company in the list of the many tech firms and companies that have layed off their staff in 2023.

Meta, Microsoft, Twitter and many other tech companies have layed off their staff in 2023 alone.
