Elon Musk About to Change The Bird to an “X” on Twitter – Besides controversies, one thing we are sure to expect from Elon Musk is more controversy and change alongside constant innovation. And as of Sunday, the news making the rounds was that of Musk nursing the intentions to replace the bird logo on Twitter with an “X”.

basically, Elon Musk has been referring to his Twitter acquisition X Corp since he bought it, and legally that is already the official legal entity name, , but it might now also be the customer-facing brand for the Bird app. Actually, it’s a soon-to-be-former-bird app.

Musk tweeted late Saturday night that he planned to replace the Twitter bird logo with a ‘X’ logo as soon as Sunday or Monday “globally,” assuming he received a good-looking enough one in time. Musk then tweeted a short teaser animation with an X graphic on a black background on Sunday, implying that he had his desire granted.

Also, on Sunday, musk made some Tweets pointing users in the new direction the app is about to take:

Not sure what subtle clues gave it way, but I like the letter X pic.twitter.com/nwB2tEfLr8

The proposed logo for the X app was designed by a Twitter user named Alex with the username @ajtourville, he also offered to give Musk the logo for free if he so desired and obviously, Musk obliged the request.

Correct.

According to a different post on Musk’s social network, the Twitter blue bird emblem and brand name are not long for this world. Despite nominally running the firm Musk paid for late last year, Twitter’s ‘CEO’ Linda Yaccarino has yet to comment on the change on her own account. Twitter could not be reached for comment since Elon has replaced the media contact email with a bot that auto-answers in an irritating and endless cycle, much like a toddler.

Like a child, Musk appears to be fixated on naming everything ‘X’ just because he likes it and is fixated on it, he’s named his new AI company ‘x.AI’ and literally refuses to stay quiet about how badly he wanted X to be the name for PayPal when his original company with that name merged with another to form the online payments giant.

Twitter is still Twitter, and the blue bird is still flying as of now, but that could change at any time, so I strongly advise that if you have any sentimental attachment to the bird it’s time to start letting go before it becomes official.
