For those who have been eagerly anticipating, good news has come as Apple’s iOS 18 is released worldwide. Here we will cover the release time, supported iPhone models, and expected features.
On September 9, Apple held its It’s Glowtime event to unveil the updated iPhone 16 lineup, which comprises the entry-level iPhone 16, the iPhone 16 Plus, the iPhone 16 Pro, and the top-tier iPhone 16 Pro Max. The new iPhones will go on sale starting September 20 and come pre-installed with iOS 18. However, those with more recently supported iPhone models will have access to Apple’s mobile operating system ahead of those who will eventually purchase an iPhone 16. On Monday, Apple will start to release iOS 18 to compatible devices.
With so many customization choices available, users can freely rearrange apps on the home screen, customize widgets to their preferences, and modify the tint and color of icons in the most recent major release of iOS. Note that the main Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18, which include a redesigned Siri and the use of generative artificial intelligence, will be available later with a separate upgrade. While Apple Intelligence capabilities will work with all iPhone 16 models, previous devices will only be compatible with iPhone 15 Pro versions.
iOS 18 rollout time
As previously stated, Apple has announced that iOS 18 will launch globally on September 16. Although the iPhone manufacturer has not announced the release timing, prior major iOS versions were made available on day one at 17:00 GMT (10:30 p.m. IST).
