One of the many crypto projects that has been responsible for this newfound stranger attraction is Bonk which is hosted on the Solana ecosystem.

For Solana, December was a very profitable month because it brought in a lot of business to the community. The Solana ecosystem was beginning to show signs of revival when the relatively new Bonk gained popularity, as evidenced by the native cryptocurrency SOL trading on the higher end of the price ladder in recent days and the sell-outs of Solana-based NFTs.

According to a recent development, Solana’s Saga cellphones appear to be fetching high prices on foreign web marketplaces.
An eBay seller listed a Solana device for $5,000 over the weekend. This is eight times the device’s original launch price of $600. Many Saga units were exchanged for more than $2,000, while one unit was up for grabs at $3,316, according to a CoinTelegraph report.
One of the main reasons the Saga smartphones are selling like hotcakes is that each one comes with a complimentary airdrop of 30 million Bonk tokens.
In recent days, Bonk’s market capitalization has eclipsed that of Pepecoin and Grok, the rising stars of the memecoin space. The Bonk token’s price increased from $0.0000028 to $0.000012 over the preceding 30 days, reaching a valuation of $762 million.
According to Solana Mobile’s official X account, the Saga sold out on December 16.
Customers who purchase this phone would also receive 30 million Bonk tokens, which at the current token rate would be worth $566. It appears that Saga purchasers are also placing significant bets on the Bonk price rising further higher—it must rise by at least 620 percent—for them to realize any meaningful profit.
Certain unconnected cryptocurrency projects are planning airdrops for Saga phones, which are currently generating a lot of hype in and of themselves.

For example, the Memecoin project Samoyed Coin has announced an upcoming airdrop for Saga. Decentralized storage company GenesysGo has recently announced plans to allow the mining of its native Shadow (SHDW) using a Saga phone app.
When Solana’s Saga smartphone was introduced in April 2022, it was heralded as the arrival of the first generation of smartphones in the world focused on Web3, cryptocurrency. The business claims that the Saga phone comes pre-installed with a “seed vault” to securely store all of the private keys associated with the device in addition to the Solana Pay cryptocurrency pay software.
