At the Kara market in Ajasse Ipo of Kwara State today, six people were allegedly killed and seven more persons reported missing as a result of the clash between the Fulani cow butchers and the Odu’a Peoples Congress (OPC).17 persons were also injured in the clash.

The major cause of the clash which was birthed from the damage of the side mirror of a member of OPC’s vehicle.

The Kara market is particularly noted for its large number of traders during the days of the week due to traders of cows. During one of the market days on Friday, the inundation of purchasers prompted a gridlock.

As indicated by the Seriki of the market, the side reflection of one of the vehicles of the OPC individuals, who were getting back from the equitable finished up Osun-Osogbo waterway celebration was broken either by a smashed business motorcyclist or a purchaser moving a cow.

An authority of the Miyetti Allah affiliation said six cadavers had been recuperated, seven absent and 17 others getting treatment for different level of wounds.

The police in an explanation affirmed the occurrence however said just four people kicked the bucket.In a statement endorsed by representative Ajayi Okasanmi, the police said business as usual has been reestablished to the area.
