Nigerian Governors Forum vow to Fund Healthcare Aggressively

Nigeria’s Governors Forum, or NGF, has vowed to aggressively fund the nation’s primary healthcare facilities through greater budgetary allocation and the hiring of the necessary medical staff.

At the official inauguration of the national primary healthcare leadership challenge for an enhanced healthcare system in Nigeria at the state house Abuja, Kayode Fayemi, chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, made this statement.

The primary healthcare challenge offers a chance to create a robust healthcare system, inspire and recognize ownership and leadership among the nation’s healthcare organizations.

By encouraging healthy competition among the 36 states and the federal capital Territory, the unique idea aims to improve and revitalize Nigeria’s primary healthcare system.

The leadership challenge is also an opportunity to share experiences among States and challenge each other to provide quality healthcare services.

13 awards are up for grab among the 36 states under this challenge, and the fct with Monetory grants for the best performing state and most improved state within the six geopolitical zones.
