Opera is incorporating new generative artificial intelligence chatbots that are powered by ChatGPT and ChatSonic into its Opera desktop browsers and Opera GX.
This integration is coming in just few weeks after tech giant, Microsoft, integrated a chatbot powered by GPT-4 into its Edge Browser.
According to Opera’s product creator, Joanna Czajka, the new AI tools are now available in all desktop browsers.Also, Opera is working on integrating a feature that will allow users to create AI-powered prompts by just typing out a text on a website or highlighting them.
The new chatbots also have summarizer feature that can assist users to summarize their contents and even write their social media posts. The only thing users will have to do is to turn on the AI prompts manually on their browser settings to access this feature.

The letter issued by Opera’s product manager, Joanna Czajka, read thus: “AI generated content is a game-changer for web browsing. Our goal is to use these technologies to give our users new browsing superpowers – reimagining how they learn, create, and research. Opera is actively expanding its AI program into AIGC for browser, news, and gaming products through its own solutions and new and existing partnerships.”
With the recent integration of AI-powered tools by many tech companies, Opera has disclosed that it has plans of integrating more AI-powered tools into its browser.
