Former Cameroon star and President of the Cameroon Football Federation (CFF), Samuel Eto’o, has openly apologized for the physical assault he committed on a fan during the World Cup on Monday.

It would be recalled that Eto’o after watching the game between Brazil and South Korea on Monday night was involved in a rife with one of the fans who came to snap with the football legend.

His tweet on his official Twitter page read on Tuesday read: “After the Brazil-South Korea match, I had a violent altercation with a person who was probably an Algerian supporter.

“I would like to apologise for losing my temper and reacting in a way that does not match my personality. I apologise to the public for this unfortunate incident.”
