After a long period of 5 months after its official launch in July, Threads is finally available to EU users.
Mark Zuckerberg announced on Threads that Meta is expanding Threads to more European nations. Nevertheless, in certain areas, the app wasn’t available on the App Store at the time of publishing.
There is a “Use without a profile” option on Threads.net that eliminates the need for Instagram logins. Users cannot comment on, like, or repost posts while in that mode; they can only view them.

You will see a single feed that is automatically populated if you are using Threads in the EU without creating a profile. Additionally, accounts can be searched for, but not postings, it seems.
To comply with multiple EU regulations, the company limited access to the new social network during its July launch. The app could not be downloaded by users to access the social network. Furthermore, there was no online version of Threads at the time where users could view posts by URLs.

Zuckerberg revealed on Wednesday that Threads has begun testing integration with ActivityPub. In this manner, content that was once posted on the social network owned by Meta might show up on decentralized networks that cooperate with it, like Mastodon.
