Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has been the topic of gossip in Nigeria today after he gave his seat to the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi at an event.
The dramatic scenario which got people attracted took place at an event which was hosted to celebrate the President of the African Export-Import Bank, Prof. Benedict Oramah for the national award conferred on him by president Buhari.
In the video, the former president was seen calling on Peter Obi who sat at table nine, and then leading him to table one where he (Obasanjo) sat.
When he finally switched seats with Peter Obi, the audience applauded the dramatic show.
As Obasanjo walked down to bring Peter Obi, he said: “In the presence of Nigerians”.
When he finally took him to table one, the former president of Nigeria added: “My job is done”.
Obasanjo however has not yet endorsed any presidential candidate in the upcoming general elections, but, feelers believe that Peter Obi might be his preferred candidate in the 2023 general elections, especially with the recent meetings that have ensued between both of them.
