The kano State government has hired 70 lawyers as part of its commitment to enhance employment opportunities and strengthen the state’s legal department.
In a statement on Friday by the Director of Public Awareness, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service, Aliyu Yusuf, said that the initiative aims to improve the provision of services within the judiciary while addressing the challenges of unemployment in the state.
“The governor’s initiative will undoubtedly pave the way for strengthening effective service delivery in the state’s legal sector and at the same time addressing the challenges of unemployment,” Yusuf said.
According to the statement, the head of the service, Abdullahi Musa, oversaw the final interview of the candidates and praised the governor’s visionary leadership.He noted that the development would significantly strengthen the state judiciary, which has long waited for such an intervention.
Addressing the newly hired lawyers, the host urged them to show integrity, dedication, selflessness, and a sense of accountability in the discharge of their responsibilities.
He also stressed the importance of recognizing the competitive nature of the current job market and urged the state to reciprocate its investment by being an exemplary ambassador.”The recruitment drive reflects the ongoing efforts of the Cano State government to empower its citizens and strengthen institutional capacity for sustainable development,” HoS was quoted as saying in a statement.
