WhatsApp working on theme colors and releasing sticker editor feature in the recent iOS beta, beta testers will be able to change stickers by pressing them and using a change Sticker button.
A feature tracker has revealed that WhatsApp is developing a feature that will let users choose an accent color for the popular messaging app for iOS. The company recently added a green tint to certain areas of the interface of the iOS beta version of the app, altering its appearance.
It looks like in a later version, the company will let users select from five different theme color accents for the app. In the most recent beta version, the service is testing a sticker editor function.
Details uncovered by feature tracker WABetaInfo indicate that WhatsApp, owned by Meta, recently included some code in an iOS beta release that indicates users may soon be able to select an accent color to customize specific areas of the user interface. These consist of the buttons on the interface, the message counts on the right side of the chat list, the circles around status updates, and the colors of the selected tabs at the bottom.

The blue accent color is used to display these user interface elements in the most recent stable version of WhatsApp for iOS. WABetaInfo posted a screenshot with five color accent options: WhatsApp’s green accent, the default blue option, an off-white color, pink, and purple. It is said that users will be made aware that choosing one of the five alternatives will only alter the primary color of the app’s branding.

According to WABetaInfo, a more current version of WhatsApp, the beta for iOS 24.1.10.72, is being made available to testers through the TestFlight program. It also supports a new feature. Now that a sticker editor has been implemented, beta testers may not even need to utilize the party sticker applications anymore.
WABetaInfo revealed that beta testers will be able to change stickers by pressing them and using a change Sticker button. On the app, users can make their stickers by selecting the “Create Your Own” button. While making stickers, users will also be able to take the background off of photos on their phones.
The color accent picker is still in development, therefore it may be some time before it is made available to testers, even though the new sticker editor is presently being distributed to beta testers. These capabilities should eventually appear on WhatsApp for Android as well, as the app usually keeps feature parity between the two platforms.
