Nigerian musician and song writer, Ice Prince has been arrested today by the Lagos State Police Command for an alleged assault on a police officer.

Swagenews gathered that at about 3a.m on Friday, the Oleku-crooner was stopped by police officers for driving his car without a licensed plate.

Ice Prince, had initially accepted to go to the police station with the police, but, he it is gathered that he later abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him inside the lagoon.

In confirmation of Ice Prince’s arrest, the spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said Ice Prince has been arrested and would be arraigned today.

SP Hundeyin said, “at about 3a.m @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.

He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
