Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, has pledged to provide sufficient finances for education and prayed that Nigerians will never again be subjected to the APC’s rule after 2023, which he claims caused unimaginable suffering.

On Wednesday, Atiku Abubakar announced this at the party’s gathering in Akure, Ondo state.

He criticized the status of education in the country, for which he especially accused the ruling APC’s “bad strategy” and swore Nigerians would never see a recurrence after 2023 if he were elected president.

Titi Atiku, the wife of the PDP presidential candidate and a native of Ondo state, had earlier addressed the massive audience and promised the people of Ondo that her husband will destroy Boko Haram and provide scholarships for students.

She stated, “my people I, your daughter standing in your presence to tell you that my husband has done it before. The last election was won by my husband but we were robbed. My husband indeed is a Fulani but he is not a killer and we have been together. I taught him our culture and tradition, and he is part of us.” During Obasanjo, it was Atiku that brought the likes of Elrufai, Ngozi Okonjo-iweala, and others who did well for Nigeria”

On his agenda, she stated,“Atiku will defeat Boko Haram and provide you with scholarships”

On the necessity of voting for Atiku, she stated, “No Yoruba has ever been a First Lady, and if we vote Atiku it is a vote for Yoruba. There is hunger in the land, don’t let the opposition deceive you, vote for all PDP candidates during election.” She pleaded.  She implored.

Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta state and PDP vice presidential candidate, praised the party leaders and the tens of thousands of Ondo youths present at the event.

He stated, “in the past 8 months the youths were at home and that shouldn’t be the case.

He stated, “in the past 8 months the youths were at home and that shouldn’t be the case. “Atiku has made provisions to ensure no University goes on strike as special attention would be placed on the youths of the country as well as set aside funds to support youths who would want to go into entrepreneurship.”

“As long as you vote Atiku, hunger and unemployment will be a thing of the past. Remain focused, go from School to school, house to house, and campaign for Atiku,” he urged the mammoth PDP crowd.

In his presentation, PDP Chairman Iyorcha Ayu asked Ondo PDP supporters to vote for Atiku in the upcoming election and avoid making a mistake.

“Ondo is a PDP state. You are educated and enlightened people and that is why you always vote for the PDP.”

Ayu went on to say, “We must work together to ensure victory. Ondo should give the PDP the highest votes in the southwest.”

“The country is in a bad shape, u need an experienced leader to fix the country. Atiku and Obasanjo fixed the economy in 1999 and Atiku is coming back to fix the mess APC has created. He will unify the country, there will be jobs and security.”

Earlier, the presidential campaign chairman of Ondo state informed PDP supporters that Atiku is in Ondo state to express gratitude for the tremendous support he received from the state in the past.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto, chairman of the presidential campaign council, thanked the people of Ondo for their support and warm reception in 2019.

He said they are launching the southwest campaign in Ondo for obvious reasons. He further said that the year 2019 was a robbery, but thanked the people for giving them the mandate.

“Atiku Abubakar is the most qualified candidate who has all the credentials to deliver and so we urge you to come out and vote massively for us,” he added.

Nurudeen Adeleke, the newly elected governor of Osun state, informed the Ondo people that the same light that emerged in Osun has also arrived in Ondo.

He asked voters to support Atiku. He said,” Atiku took one of your daughters has a wife. We must vote for Atiku. If we vote Atiku I can assure you that poverty will end in the Southwest. Please go all out and tell everyone from house to house that the light has come to Ondo state.

The only message from the PDP, according to Gov. Udom of Akwa Ibom, is to restore the nation.

He said, “ we have something to show, we have done this before. when were in power things were different from now.” PDP is the only party that can provide power supply, food on the table, and security.”

The PDP has continued to have enormous turnouts at its rallies as its campaign train tours the nation in advance of the 2023 general election.
