… says defection to NNPP is personal

THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has once again lose one of its member, Hon. Sani Dugge, who was a former member of the Gombe State House of Assembly to an opposition party, New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).

The defection of the former Gombe lawmaker to NNPP was already communicated to chairman of PDP in Waziri South on Sunday, 25th December, 2022, via a letter, while noting that his choice to defect to NNPP is personal.

The defection letter read in part: “I wish to notify you of the withdrawal of my membership (No. 3528) from today, December 25, 2022 from the party.”

Although the defection may come as a lose to PDP ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections, Dugge’s defection has equalled the number of NNPP members in Gombe State House of Assembly with that of PDP.
