Four Super Falcon players have been nominated for the Women Africa Player of the Year award.
The four Super Falcons players include four-time winner, Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade, Uchenna Kanu and goalkeeper, Nnadozie Chiamaka.
The preliminary nominees list contains 30 names and is also dominated by South Africans, with six players including 2018 Best Player of the Year, Thembi Kgatlana.
The Super Falcons players will be battling 30 nominees for the Women Africa Player of the Year award.
The list will be pruned to three as national team captains and coaches vote before the announcement of the winner at a ceremony in Rabat, Morocco on July 21, two days before the finals of the Women Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.
Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala has been ruled out of the Women AFCON following a collateral ligament strain. She is due to return to Spain on Thursday for treatment
