OpenAI launches ChatGPT Plus subscription in India. ChatGPT Plus is the subscription service that gives users access to OpenAI’s text-generating AI and is now available in India. GPT-4, the refined AI model released by OpenAI earlier this week, is featured in ChatGPT Plus.

Customers on the paid tier have first access to new features such as GPT-4. ChatGPT Plus was released in the United States in February after a brief preview period. It costs $20 per month to subscribe. A subscription enables a customer to use ChatGPT even during peak hours, as well as receive faster responses and priority access to new features and improvements.

On its website, OpenAI still provides a free version of ChatGPT, albeit with some limitations. If you do not want to pay for access, you can still enjoy the ChatGPT experience by searching for it on Bing.

OpenAI initially had a waiting list for users who wanted to use ChatGPT Plus. However, the startup made the subscription service available to all users shortly after its release. The service aims to assist OpenAI in monetizing ChatGPT, which has recently gone viral and gained widespread attention for its AI-based conversational experience.

Understandably, ChatGPT has encountered some controversy and bans as a result of the nature and sophistication of its human-like responses, which can be deceptive. Its advanced text conversational capabilities have certainly piqued the interest of the general public, and OpenAI’s early investor Microsoft has agreed to integrate the experience into its services. Competitors such as Baidu and Google have begun to develop similar conversational AI experiences.
