GitHub cuts off over 140 engineering team in India

Developer company GitHub, has cut off almost all of its engineering team in India in the wake of the global economic instability.

The spokesperson of the developer company said: “As part of the reorganization plan shared in February, workforce reductions were made today as part of difficult but necessary decisions and realignments to both protect the health of our business in the short term and grant us the capacity to invest in our long-term strategy moving forward.”

The layoff which was disclosed to the staff of the developer company on Tuesday, noted that GitHub is working on cutting 10% of its employees by the first quarter of the year.
