WhatsApp Adds Chat Filters to Catch Up on Unread Messages Quickly. Users can quickly select from three distinct filters that are displayed at the top of the conversation list by using the conversation Filters feature.
To maintain message organization, WhatsApp is introducing new Chat Filters. Users no longer have to go through the complete chat list to locate the most crucial chats thanks to the latest update.
The Chat Filters feature on WhatsApp provides three filter choices to help you sort through messages more quickly, much like the Gmail feature on Google. At the top of the conversation list, they will be visible. All WhatsApp users should receive the Chat Filters in the upcoming weeks as they are still being rolled out.

Through a blog post on Tuesday, April 16, Meta announced the release of Chat Filters. The purpose of the updated feature is to make it easier for users to view all of their unread chats at once. Users can select from three different filters in the update: All, Unread, and Groups. The chat list’s top will display these alternatives.
While Unread displays messages that haven’t been opened or that the user has marked as unread, All is the default view. Group chats and Community subgroups can be viewed by tapping on Groups.
When replying to unread messages from various senders on WhatsApp, the Chat Filters function could come in helpful. WhatsApp announced that in the upcoming weeks, all users would be able to access the filter options, which were currently in the rollout phase. Prior to now, the Android 2.22.16.14 WhatsApp beta showed signs of this change. A comparable function was added to Gmail in 2020.
As part of its continuous efforts to improve the platform’s user experience, Meta has introduced new Chat Filters for WhatsApp. Pinned Messages, which allow you to highlight a specific message in any ongoing group or one-on-one chat, were introduced by the social media behemoth earlier in December. The ability to view voice messages once was also included. On Android, it debuted a new bottom navigation bar earlier this year.
